Delete your account

Settings, then Delete account. Gloss asks you to confirm it's you (Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello or a code), then deletes.

You can export everything first: Settings, then Export my data.

What Gloss undoes first

  • Gmail: stops Gmail's new mail alerts and asks Google to revoke Gloss's access
  • Outlook: deletes Gloss's new mail subscription at Microsoft. Microsoft doesn't let apps remove themselves, so to remove Gloss from your Microsoft account too, go to myapps.microsoft.com
  • Your Sign in with Apple connection, revoked with Apple

What's deleted right away

  • Your classes, deadlines, events and grades
  • Every email Gloss stored
  • Every file you uploaded: syllabi, library files and anything waiting to be read
  • Your calendar links, settings and devices
  • Your personal encryption key, so anything encrypted with it can't be read again, even from a backup

Your school's shared setup answers (like which course site it uses) and counts of students stay, but they don't say who you are.

Deleting your Gloss account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Apple keeps billing until you cancel with Apple. How to cancel.
